Solution:

- 45 x 8 + 100 cannot be written as (- 45) x 108.

(a) - 45 x (100 + 8)

=> -45 x 108

=> -4860

(b) [-45] x 100 + [- 45] x 8

By distributive property:

- 45 x (100 + 8)

=> -45 x 108

=> -4860

(c) - 45 x 8 + 100

=> -360 + 100

=> -260

(d) [-40 - 5] x 108​

=> [-45] x 108

=> -4860

Hence, option - C =>  - 45 x 8 + 100 cannot be written as (-45)x 108.
