Now

original area

\pi  {r}^{2}

Now Since radius is doubled the new radius is

2r

Therefore area is

\pi {(2r)}^{2}  = \pi4 {r}^{2}

Now increase in area=

 \frac{ \pi4 {r}^{2}  -\pi  {r}^{2}  }{\pi  {r}^{2} }  \times 100

 = 3 \times 100

 = 300percent

Therefore change In area is 300%
