Answer:

A scored 27 marks in the eighth test.

Step-by-step explanation:

Average of eight tests = 25

In general:

Average = Sum of all observations / No. of observations

=> Sum of all observations = Average * No. of observations

Applying this to the the present problem, we get:

Sum of marks in eight tests = 25 * 8

                                              = 200

Marks obtained in seven tests are: 29 26, 18, 20, 27, 24 and 29.

Sum of marks of 7 tests = 173

Marks in 8th test = Sum of marks of 8 tests - Sum of marks of 7 tests

                             = 200 - 173

                             = 27

Marks obtained by A in eighth test = 27
