Principle = 2000

Rate = 20%

Amount = 2000 ×3 = 6000 ( Given in the question )

Let the Time be X years

SI = Amount - Principal

= 6000 -2000

= 4000

again,

S.I. = P×R×T/100

4000 = 2000 × 20 × X /100

1/X = 40000/100÷4000

1/X = 400/4000

X = 4000/400

X = 10

Time = 10 years ans.
