 \sf{\underline {\Large {VSEPR\:Theory}}} :

 \tt{Valence \:Shell\: Electron\: Pair \:Repulsion \:Theory} (VSEPR).

According to this theory, we can determine the shape of the molecules by the number of electrons in Bonding and Anti - Bonding ( B. M. O. or A. B. M. O. ) in the valence shell of the central atom.

➡️  \fbox{\tt{Hybridisation\:=\:\frac{1}{2} \:(V\:+\:M\:-\:C\:+\:A\:)}}

V = Number of valence electrons.

M = Number of mono - valent atoms on central atom.

C = Number of charges on cation.

A = Number of charges on anion.

 \sf{\large {\underline {SF_4}}} :

\tt{H\:=\:\frac{1}{2} \:(6\:+\:4\:-\:0\:+\:0\:)}

H = 5 =  \tt{sp^{3}d}

\sf{\underline {Shape}} : Refer the attached picture.

 \sf{\large {\underline {ClF_5}}} :

\tt{\: H \:=\:\frac{1}{2} \:(7\:+\:5\:-\:0\:+\:0\:)}

H = 6 =  \tt{sp^{3}d^{2}}

\sf{\underline {Shape}} : Refer the attached picture.

 \sf{\large {\underline {NO_2}}} :

\tt{\: H \:=\:\frac{1}{2} \:(5\:+\:\:-\:0\:+\:0\:)}

H = 2.5

 \tt{\fbox{NOTE}} : In \tt{NO_2} , O is more electronegative than N, so when central atom is more electronegative than surrounding atom, than

H = 2.5 + 0.5 = 3

H =  \tt{sp^{2}}

\sf{\underline {Shape}} : Refer the attached picture.
