let the two natural numbers be x and y
x-y=196 —> equation 01
x:y=9:5 it can be written as
x/y=9/5
also, x=9y /5 —> equation 02
put equation 02 in equation 01, we get
9y /5 -y= 196 multiply this equation by 5, we get
9y-5y=980
4y=980
y=980/4
y=245
put in equation 02
x=9(245)/5
x=441
Hence two required natural numbers are 441 and 245

Answer:

let the two natural numbers be 9x and 5x

given that their difference is 196

I .e. 9x-5x=196

4x=196

x= 49

substitute the value of x we get the two natural numbers 9×49=441

5×49 =245

hence , 441 and 245 are the two natural numbers

if answer to be verified subtract the natural numbers 441 - 245

we get 196 which is correct .
