A = P(1 + R/100)ⁿ
⇒ 18522 = 16000(1 + 10/100)ⁿ
⇒ 18522/16000 = [(20 + 1)/20]ⁿ
⇒ 9261/8000 = (21/20)ⁿ
⇒ (21*21*21)/(20*20*20) = (21/20)ⁿ
⇒ (21/20)³ = (21/20)ⁿ
⇒ n = 3
Three periods of 6 months = 1.5 years or 18 months
