ATQ,

a12 = 47 ............(1)

a12 = 47
a+ 11d = 47
a = 47 - 11d. .........(2)

a16 = 2 a8 + 1
a + 15d = 2 ( a + 7d ) + 1
a + 15d = 2a + 14d +1
d = a + 1

Put value of a from eq. (2) , we get

d = 47 - 11d +1
12d = 48
d = 4

Now , a = 47 - 11(4) = 47 - 44 = 3

an = a + ( n-1)d
a16 = a + 15 d
= 3 + 15(4). = 3 + 60 = 63
