Step-by-step explanation:

first simplify these eqns by dividing by 4 and 3 respectively

we get 4x+3y=14 1

and 3x+4y=21 2

here for eliminating any variable take the value of that variable from one eqn and put it into 2nd eqn

we will get the result

by 1st eqn we get x=(14-3y)/4

on substituting this in 2nd eqn

[3(14-3y)/4] + 4y= 21

on multiplying the eqn by 4

we get 42-9y+16y=84

y=6

now we know the value of x in terms of y

so we substitute value of y in that expression

x=-1

if you cant understand even after this please try yourself

you will definately get the clarity

Answer:

16x+12y=56. 9x+12y=69

16x+12y+9x-12=125

25x=125

x=125/25

x=5

16(5)+12y=56

80+12y=56

12y=56-80

12y=-24

y=24/12

y=2

x=5. y=2
