hey there!

( 4x² + y² ) - 10x²y²

Hope my answer helps!

TeenTitansGo: you have factorise it ....not simplify
TeenTitansGo: or if you simplify,it will be ( 4x + y )² - 10xy
TeenTitansGo: 10x²y²*
TeenTitansGo: ( 4x² + y²)*

Solution :

16x⁴ - 2x²y² + y⁴

= ( 4x² )² + ( y² )² - 2x²y²

= ( 4x² )² + ( y² )² + 8x²y² -8x²y²-2x²y²

= ( 4x² + y² )² - 10x²y²

= ( 4x² + y² )² - ( √10 xy )²

= (4x²+y²+ √10 xy )(4x²+y² - √10 xy )
