Given :  A grocer has a sale of Rs. 6385, Rs. 6867, Rs. 6655, Rs. 7200 and Rs. 6962 for 5 consecutive months

To Find : How much sale must he have in the next SEVEN month so that

he gets an average sale of Rs. 7500

Solution:

Sale in 5 months = 6385 + 6867 + 6655 + 7200 + 6962 = 34,069

an average sale of Rs. 7500

Sales in 12 month ( 1 year ) = 7500  x 12  = 90000

Sale required IN remaining 7 months  = 90000 - 34069

= 55,931

Rs 55,931 sale is required in remaining seven months
