Comics = 9 , 6 & 3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • Total number of comics he bought is 18.
  • Ages of his children are 9 years , 6 years and 3 years.

To Find:

  • How many comics each of them will get ?

Solution: Let x be the common in given ratios of children ages. Therefore

  • First child = 9x comics

  • Second child = 6x comics

  • Third child = 3x comics

∴ Total ratio = 9x + 6x + 3x

➙ Total ratio = 18x

Now , let's find the value of x.

\implies{\rm } Total ratio = Total comics

\implies{\rm } 18x = 18

\implies{\rm } x = 18/18

\implies{\rm } x = 1

So the number of comics each will get is

➯ First child = 9x = 9 × 1 = 9 comics

➯ Second child = 6x = 6 × 1 = 6 comics

➯ Third child = 3x = 3 × 1 = 3 comics

Hence, they will get 9 , 6 and 3 comics respectively.

❍  Given : A man buys 18 comics and decides to divide them among his children in the ratio of their ages. Their ages are 9 years, 6 years and 3 years.

To Find : How many comics will each child get?

 Formula Used :

  • Total Comics × One numeral of the ratio / sum of ratio

Solution :-

  • Ratio = 9:6:3

Then, find the sum of the ratio,

  • Sum = 9 + 6 + 3 = 18.

9 years boys share of comics,

  • 9 / 18 × 18 = 9 comics.

6 years boys share of comics,

  • 6 / 18 × 18 = 6 comics.

3 years boys share of comics,

  • 3 / 18 × 18 = 3 comics.

Therefore,

9 years boys get 9 comics.

6 years boys get 6 comics.

3 years boys get 3 comics.

Hope it helps u
