displaced volume of water in cylinderical tank is equal to volume of metal cube.

volume of metal cube = ( 11×11×11 ) cm3

rise in water level = (displaced volume)/(area of cross section)

= ( 11×11×11 ) / [ π×14×14 ] = 2.16 cm
