Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

A money box contains one-rupee and two-rupee coins in the ratio 5:6. the total value of the coins in the money box is 85.

To find :-

Find the number of two-rupee coins.?

Solution :-

The ratio of one rupee to two rupee coins in the money box = 5:6

Let they be 5X and 6X

The number of one rupee coins = 5X

The number of two rupee coins = 6X

Value of "5X" one rupee coins = Rs. 5X

Value of "6X" two rupee coins = 6X×2=Rs. 12X

Total value of coins in the money box

=5X+12X=17X

According to the given problem,

Total number of coins in the money box = 85

=>17X=85

=>X=85/17

=>X=5

then ,5X=5(5)=25

and 6X=6(5)=30

Number of One rupee coins =25

Number of Two rupee coins =30

Answer :-

The number of Two rupee coins in the money box = 30

Check :-

Number of One rupee coins =25

The value of One rupee coins =25×1=Rs. 25

Number of Two rupee coins =30

The value of Two rupee coins =30×2= Rs.60

Total value of the coins = 25+60 = Rs. 85

Verified the given realtions.
