x=3y---(1)

(x-6) = 5(y-6)

x-6 = 5y -30

x = 5y-24----(2)

x=3y (from (1)

5y-24=3y [ substituting x from (2)]

5y-3y=24

2y=24

y=12

x =3y

x= 3×12

x= 36
