Required Answer:-

Arranging the class intervals from lowest to highest and uniforming their size. Subtracting 0.5 from lower limit and 0.5 to upper limit for convenience. Refer to the attachment. I have used Direct method for solving.

Steps to follow:

  • Uniform the size interval.
  • Write down them in ascending order for convenience and so as their frequency.
  • Calculate the class mark: Upper limit + Lower limit /2.
  • Now multiply the frequency and class mark of each row to get the f1.x1.
  • Now add all the f1.x1 and sum of all frequencies given is 56.

Plug the values in the formula:

Mean:

 \large{ \boxed{ \boxed{\rm{ Mean( \bar {x}) \:  =  \frac{ \sum f_1x_1}{ \sum f_1} }}}}

And the final answer will be approx. 67.46
