Required Answer:-
Arranging the class intervals from lowest to highest and uniforming their size. Subtracting 0.5 from lower limit and 0.5 to upper limit for convenience. Refer to the attachment. I have used Direct method for solving.
Steps to follow:
- Uniform the size interval.
- Write down them in ascending order for convenience and so as their frequency.
- Calculate the class mark: Upper limit + Lower limit /2.
- Now multiply the frequency and class mark of each row to get the f1.x1.
- Now add all the f1.x1 and sum of all frequencies given is 56.
Plug the values in the formula:
Mean:
And the final answer will be approx. 67.46
