HEY THERE!!

YOUR ANSWER =>

The cards are mixed thoroughly and a card is drawn at random from the box means that all the outcomes are equally likely.

Sample space = {1,2,3,...., 17} which has 17 equally likely outcomes.

Let C be the event 'the number on the card drawn is prime', then

C = {2, 3,5,7,11,13,17}.

Therefore, The number of favourable outcomes to the event C = 7.

Therefore, P (prime) = 7/17.
