There are two cottage industries A and B having the same number of
employees. In industry A. It was observed on a particular day the cost of
production of each toy (in rupees) was 3 more than twice the number of
toys produced on that day. If the total cost of production on that day was
390, find the number of toys produced. In industry B, the cost of
production of each toy (in rupees) was found to be 6 more than four times
the number of toys produced on that day. On a particular day the fotal
cost of production was R550.

In A = 4+2x

If the total cost of production on that day was  390.

390 = x(2x + 4)

390 = 2x² + 4x

2x² + 4x - 390 = 0

2x² + 30x- 26x - 390 = 0

2x ( x + 15) - 26( x+ 15) = 0

(2x -26) (x+15)

x = 13,  x = -15

Production is cant be in "-" ve so the x = 13
