17. Distilled water does not conduct electricity. But if a few drops of acid is added to it, it does.

Answer:

Because acid on dilution or when becomes solution then it will conduct electricity but distilled water has no minerals so it doesn't conduct electricity

To carry out electrolysis in water,a few drops of sulphuric acid is added to the water. It is because pure water is a bad conductor of electricity. So it would not conduct electricity
