⟶ 2a = - 23
⟶ a = - 23/2
Putting the value of a in equation (1) we get,
⟶ - 23/2 + b = - 5
⟶ b = - 5 + 23/2
⟶ b = ( - 10 + 23)/2
⟶ b = 13/2
Hence, the two required numbers are - 23/2 & 13/2.
