Given ,

dimension of the tile = 10 cm × 7 cm

dimension of the floor = 14 m × 12 m

ㅤ ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= (14×100) × (12×100)

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ = 1400 cm × 1200 cm

ㅤ ㅤcost of tiling per hundred tile = rs 5

•°• Required Answer :-

=> area of the tile = l × b

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ = ( 10 × 7 )

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ = 70 cm²

Again ,

=> area of the room = l × b

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ = ( 1400 × 1200 )

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ = 1680000 cm²

•°• no. of tiles required to fill the room =>

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 1680000 / 70

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 168000 / 7

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= 24000

•°• no. of tiles required = 24000

=> We are given that ,

> cost of tiling per 100 tile = rs 5

> cost of tiling 1 tile = rs 5 / 100

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ= rs 1/20

•°• cost of tiling 24000 tiles = 24000 × 1/20

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ = 2400 × 1/2
