17. If -2 and 3 are the zeros of the quadratic polynomial x+(a +1)x+b,
then
(a) a=-2, 6=6
(c) a=-2, 6=-6
(b) a = 2, b =-6
(d) a = 2, b = 6

please solve with proper solution.

Answer:

p(x)= x²+(a+1)x+b

A=1 B=a+1 C= b

sum of zeroes= -2+3=1= -B/A

1= -a-1

a= -2

product of zeroes = -2×3 = -6 = C/A

-6=b

So a= -2 and b = -6

hope that helps:)
