17. In the given figure, BAD = 75°,
DCF = xº and DEF = yº.
Find the values of x and y.​

Solution :

In a cyclic quadrilateral we know that the exterior angle is equal to the interior opposite angle.

So we get

∠BAD = ∠DCF = 75°

We get,

x = 75°

We know that the opposite angles of a cyclic quadrilateral is 180°.

So we get,

∠DCF + ∠DEF = 180°

By substituting the values

→ 75° + ∠DEF = 180°

→ ∠DEF = 180° – 75°

→ ∠DEF = 105°

So,

y = 105°

Therefore, the values of x and y are 75° and 105° respectively.
