17.Mohan lives in Hyderabad in Telangana. Those were very hot days of May. He thought that
if we human beings need so much of water to drink, won`t the birds also be thirsty. He
decided to prepare a vessel to provide water for birds. He found a flexible blue coloured
plastic rectangular sheet 44cm x 15 cm. He rolled it along its length and joined ends using a
tape. He wanted to have a circular base for this cylinder and searched for another sheet. He
found a square sheet 15cm x 15cm . He got a circular sheet just equal to the base of the
cylinder cut from it.
Find the volume of water that can be filled in the cylinder

Step-by-step explanation:

The length of the rectangular sheet is 44cm which means it is the circumference of the base circle.

Now,

Circumference of the circle=2πr

44 =2×22/7×r

44 =44/7×r

44×7/44=r

7 =r

Therefore the radius is of 7 cm.

Next,

Volume of the cylinder=πr^2h

=22/7×7×7×15

=154×15

= 2310

Therefore the volume of the water that can be filled in the cylinder is 2310ml.

Answer:

CSA =660 cm²,r=7, area of circular base=154cm²,volume=2310cm³

Step-by-step explanation:

CSA=l×b

44×15

=660cm²

finding radius:

660=2×22/7×r×15

660=660/7r

r=660×7/660

=7 cm

finding area of base:

pie×r²

22/2×7×7

=154 cm²

volume:

pie×r²h

22/7×7×7×15

=2320cm³

hope you understood it.....
