Probability(getting \:  an \:  ace) =   \large{\frac{1}{13} }

\huge\bf{\fcolorbox{black}{cyan}{\red{Explanation }}}

  • We know that there are four aces in a deck.
  • One from Hearts, one from Diamonds, one from Spades and one from Clubs.
  • Total no. of cards = 52.

 \large{ \frak{ \red{formula : }}}

P(E) \:  =  \frac{no. \: of \: favourable \: outcomes}{total \: no. \: of \: outcomes}

Here,

E = event = getting an ace

No. of favorable outcomes = 4

Total no. of outcomes = 52

P(E) =  \frac{ \cancel4}{ \cancel{52 } \:13}

 =  \frac{1}{13}
