17. The area of A ABC is 90 cm2. If BC = 15 cm, find the height AM.

the area of a triangle= 90cm²

base= 15cm

height= x

the area of a triangle= 1/2×base×height

90cm²= 1/2×15×x

90×2= 15×x

180= 15×x

x= 180/15

x=12cm

altitude= 12 cm

so

we know that area of∆=1/2×b×h

so,

1/2×15×h=90 cm2

hence

h=90×2/15

so h=12cm
