contained in food. The producers are eaten up by herbivores .Herbivores are consumed by
carnivores. There is a continuous transfer of energy from one trophic level to the
next. Materials like water,carbon,and nitrogen are present in the bodies of organisms return
to the soil by the action of decomposers which are available for the plants once again.
