given, breadth=2m

ATQ, length=3*breadth

length =3*2

length =6m

so area of rectangle = length * breadth

= 6*2

=12m^2

Answer:

Length=20m.

Step-by-step explanation:

let the breadth be x

then , length = 3x +2

area = 120 m²

Area = l * b

on putting the values,we get

120 = (3x +2) * (x)

120 = 3x² + 2x

0 = 3x² + 2x -120

on splitting the middle term

3x²+20x -18x -120=0

x(3x+20)-6(3x+20)=0

(x-6)(3x+20)=0

x= 6,-20/3

rejecting the negative value,as breadth cannot be negative.

we get x=6m.

and length= 3x+2

=3(6)+2

=18+2

=20m.
