17. The perimeter of a square and the circumference of a circle are equal. If the length
of each side of the square is 22 cm, find :

Let's find the perimeter of the square,

  • Perimeter of the square = 4(side) = 4 (22 cm) = 88 cm

Therefore, perimeter of the square is 88 cm & Circumference of the circle is also 88 cm.

⇒ Circumference of the circle = 2πr = 88 cm

⇒ 2πr = 88 cm

⇒ r = 88×7/2×22

⇒ r = 7 cm

Therefore, the radius of the circle is 7cm.
