HeRe IS UR AnS:

Let the bigger number = x

Smaller number = 40 - x

If Each number increased by 8

The New number are

Bigger number = x+8

Smaller number = 40- x + 8

= 48 - x

According to the given problem;

x + 8 = 3 ( 48 - x)

x + 8 = 144 - 3x

x + 3x = 144 - 8

4x = 136

x = 136 / 4

x= 34

The bigger number = x = 34

The Smaller number= 40- x

= 40- 34
