A natural hazard is a threat of a naturally occurring event will have a negative effect (disaster) on humans

Explanation:

  • Weather-related disasters are increasing in comparison to other catastrophes such as earthquakes. As a consequence, for instance , the number of tropical cyclone and flood disasters has risen, however there has been no increasing frequency of earthquakes.
  • The global population is rising rapidly. With increase in population more people, the risk/ vulnerability  rises since more individuals are impacted by natural disasters otherwise. People are moving more to the coastal regions These are regions most vulnerable to natural disasters, including tsunamis, tropical cyclones, floods or earthquakes to some degree.
  • Global warming  increases the earth's ocean temperatures & the atmosphere, temperature leading to  extreme disasters of all kinds.. The persistence of change of climate  in the environment can result in numerous natural disasters such as earthquakes , hurricanes, floods, etc and can be the cause of life loss & destruction of the property in places where such disasters take place
  • For nearly so many centuries people do too many destructive environmental activities, that are the primary cause of the disaster production. The number of trees is actually decreasing, & they are not even in a state of photosynthesis. Buildings, factories and other kinds of operations in forest areas are responsible for significant ozone depletion that protects us against sun's ultraviolet rays. When our needs rise, we cut down more trees and over the next few years will lead to some dangerous disasters.
