Question,

A shopkeeper makes a profit of 15% even after

offering a discount of 8% on an article. If the marked price of the article is 1000, find the actual cost of the article.

 \gray{ \huge{ \tt \: sloution}}

➡ S.P = MP - discount

➡ 1000 - 8/100%

➡ 1000-8

S.P ➡ 920%

➡ C.P = S.P - gain

➡ 920 -15/100%

➡ 92,000

➡ M.P = Rs 1000

➡ Discount = 8%

➡ Discount = 8/100×100 = 8

Therefore SP = MP - discount

➡ Rs 1000 = Rs 80

➡ Rs 1000-80

Rs920

Profit % = 15%

Therefore , CP = SP ×100/100 + profit%

➡ CP = 920×100/100+15

➡ 92000/115

800 Rs
