thats why.... T=0 AFTER CUTTING

1 block before cutting

kx= T + 4MG

BUT T=0 AFTeR CUTTING so...

KX = 4MG.............(1)

IN Block 2

BFR CUTING

T= MG

BUT DUE TO T=0 AFTR CUTING

it will free fall a = Mg/M =g

now due to recoil of spring

...block 1 upar jaega

kx - ( T+ 3Mg) = 3Ma

also T= 0

So...

kx - 3mg = 3ma

now putting value of (1)..........

4mg - 3mg = 3ma

mg =3ma

a = g/3
