Given,

AP : 2,5,8,11

To find,

17 th term of Ap

Solution,

Now , AP (Arithmetic Progression) is a sequence with constant difference between two consecutive numbers.

In this AP : 2,5,8,11

2 is the first term

2nd term - 1st term = 5 - 2 = 3

3rd term - 2nd term = 8 - 5  = 3

4th term - 3rd term = 11 - 8 = 3

So, the common difference = 3

So the nth term in AP can be found by this formula,

a_{n} = a + (n − 1) × d

a = first term

n = nth term

d = common difference

So , a_{17} = 2 + (17 - 1) x 3

a_{17} = 2 + (16 x 3)

     = 2 + 48

a_{17} = 50

Hence, 17th term of AP 2,5,8,11 is 50.
