27 is the correct answer.

we will group it in 2 groups

1- 22 , 20, 18

2- 18, 21, 24, ?

second group numbers are the multiples of 3 starting from 18 .

so the missing no. will be 3 × 9 = 27 .

Answer:

The missing number is 27.

Step-by-step explanation:

18,22,21,20,24,18,?

The series can be divided into two small series:

1) 18,21,24,?

2) 22, 20, 18

Here in the series (1) the number is increasing by 3.

As we can see from the pattern,

18+3=21

21+3=24

so, 24+3=27

Here in the series (2) the number is decreasing by 2

as we can see from the pattern,

22-2=20

20-2=18.

Now, combining the two series we saw,

18,22,21,20,24,18,27 is the complete series.

The missing number is 27.
