I am little confused because at last page answer is given 119/10​

 \frac{18}{(-5)} + \frac{62}{4} \\= \frac{18}{(-5)} + \frac{\cancel {2 }\times 31}{\cancel {2}\times 2} \\= \frac{-18}{5} + \frac{31}{2} \\= \frac{(-18) \times 2 + 5\times 31}{10} \\= \frac{-36 + 155}{10} \\= \frac{119}{10}

Therefore.,

 \red{\frac{18}{(-5)} + \frac{62}{4}}\green {= \frac{119}{10}}
