18. A circular disc of radius 0.2 m is placed in a uniform magnetic field of induction =
1/π Wb/m2 in such a way
that its axis makes an angle of 60° with B. The
magnetic flux linked with the disc is

Answer : Φ = 0.02 Wb

Explanation:

Given :

Magnetic induction = B = 1/π Wb/m^2

Radius of disc = r = 0.2 m

Area of disc = ds = πr^2 = π*(0.2)^2

ds = 0.04π m^2

We have,

Magnetic flux(Φ) = Bdscos(theta)

=> Φ = 1/π * 0.04π * cos(60°)

=> Φ = 0.04 * 1/2

=> Φ = 0.02 Wb

Thus the magnetic flux (Φ) = 0.02 Wb

Option (2) 0.02 Wb is correct
