The formula for range is given as

Range = u^2 sin 2© / g

Max range = u^2/g when the value of sin 2© = 1 or © = π/4

So,

u^2/g = 100 this is given.

Now, max height = u^2 sin^2 © / 2g = (u^2/g) * ( sin^2 © / 2)

= 100*( sin^2 π/4)/2 = 25 metres
