Given : -

Current in long straight conductor = 10 A

Need to find : -

Flux density (B) at a distance 1 cm from conductor.

Solution : -

We have the expression for the flux density at a distance ' r ' from the conductor through which a current ' i ' flowing is given by,

⇒ B = μ₀i / 2πr

⇒ B = 2 x 10⁻⁷ x (10 / 1 x 10⁻²)

 ∴  B = 2 x 10⁻⁴ Wb/m².
