ANSWER :

A. (i) Refer to the attachment for viewing the figure of brain of human beings.

(ii) They are labelled in the attachment with the answer.

(iii) Medulla : This acts as the main centre for controlling respiration and circulation. They have the function to regulate the circulation of blood, digesting foods, breathing, sneezing, etc.

Cerebellum : It has the function to accept the messages send by the spinal cord. It controls voluntary actions like speech, balance, etc.

B. If growth hormone is produced in excess amount, a disorder is caused which is termed as Acromegaly. And if the growth hormone is not released in adequate amount, then it causes dwarfism.
