Let height of embankment be′h′meter. Then

Volume of embankment = Volume of earth taken out from the well

⇒π(R×R − r×r)h= πr×rH

⇒((7+7)×(7+7)−7×7)×h=7×7×12

⇒(196−49)×h=49×12

⇒h= 147 / 49×12 =4m

∴ Height of embankment =4m.
