 Solution :

In case of a rectangle the length of the two diagonals are always equal, and they both meet at their midpoint.

Thus, AC = BD

or, (1/2) AC = (1/2) BD

or, OA = OD

or, 2x + 4 = 3x + 1

or,  -x = -3

or,  x = 3

Therefore, the value of x is 3.

Answer:

given:- ABCD is a rectangle with diagonal meeting at o

OA=2x+4

OD=3x+1

diagonals of a rectangle bisects each other

also diagonals are equal in rectangle

so AC =BD

OA +OC =OB +OD

2OA=2OD

OA =OD

2x+4=3x+1

-1+4=3x-2x

=3=1x

so the value of X is 3
