Given  : An architect designs a garden in society. The garden is in the shape rectangle inscribed in a circle of radius 10m as shown in given figure.

To Find : Maximum Value of area of rectangle

(a) 100 m²

(b) 200 m²

(c) 400 m²

(d) 1600 m²

Solution:

Maximum  Value of area of rectangle will be when its a square

Radius of circle = 10 m

=> Diameter of circle = 2 * 10 = 20 m

=> Side of Square  = 20/√2

= 10√2 m

Area  = (10√2)² = 200 m²

The maximum value of area A is 200 m²
