Solution:

Given Data:

According to the question:

A Shopkeeper bought

Six dozen eggs = Rs .150

Broken eggs = 12

To Find:

Calculate the price of eggs:

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

Hence 8 dozen eggs cost Rs. 480

So 1 egg will cost

=\frac{480}{8 \times 12}

=\frac{480}{96} = Rs.5

Step 2:

Profit=Rs 480+480 \times \frac{10}{100} = Rs 528

Step 3:

As 8 left eggs are 12 \times 8-8=88

Step 4:

Therefore cost of 1 egg is \frac{528}{88}  = 6 i.e. Rs 6

Step 5:

Result:

So the retailer will sell his egg at cost of Rs. 6.
