In this game, every friend was asked to pick the card randomly and after each draw,

Given : 20 numbered cards with labelled 1 to 20 in chalk box

every friend was asked to pick the card randomly and after each draw,

card was replaced back in the chalk box.

To Find : probability first boy pick a card randomly and he get an even numbered card

probability of getting a prime numbered card

probability of getting a card which is multiple of 3 and 5

probability of getting a card which is a perfect square

probability of a sure event

Solution:

Total Card = 20

Even cards = 10  ( 2 , 4 , 6 ,  8 , 10 , 12 , 14 , 16 , 18 , 20)

Probability of even numbered card = 10/20 = 1/2

Prime card   8    ( 2 , 3 , 5 , 7 , 11 , 13 , 17 , 19)

probability of getting a prime numbered card = 8/20  = 2/5

multiple of 3 and 5 = 15

probability of getting a card which is multiple of 3 and 5 = 1/20

perfect squares 4   ( 1 , 4 , 9 , 16)

probability of getting a card which is a perfect square = 4/20 = 1/5

probability of a sure event is 1
