The centrifugal force is maximum at the equator and minimum at the poles. Therefore, the body weighs maximum at poles and minimum at the equator. = 1.5 × 1011 m).
( ii )According to Kepler's third law of motion, the square of the time period of a planet about the sun is proportional to the cube of the semi-major of the ellipse or mean distance of the planet from the sun. i.e. T2αa3, where a is smaller, shorter is the time period.
