we are supposed find the depth of tank

we will have to find volume of the well which is in the shape of cylinder and equate it with the volume of tank (Cuboid)

volume of cylinder = Π×r^2×h

d=14 => r= 7

π=22/7

h= 44

volume = 22/7×7×44

=22×44

= 968 is the volume of well

as the well can hold as much water as the tank so their volume must be equal

so let h be depth of the tank

=> 968= 22×h×22

=>(968)/(22×22)=h

=>968/484=h= 2

so depth of the tank is 2metres.
