18. In a school, students thought of planting trees in and around the school to reduce air
pollution. It was decided that students will plant 96 trees of mango and jackfruit. The
numbers of mango and jackfruit trees are in the ratio 5:3. Find the number of each tree
to be planted.

Let the no. of mango fruits to be planted be 5x and jackfruits plant be 3x.

Now,

3x+5x=96

8x=96

x=96/8

x=12

Mango fruits =5x=5*12=60

Jackfruits =3x=3*12=36

These are your answers.
