In the Balanced Wheatstone Bridge, the needle of the Galvanometer is not deflected from the neutral position.

  • A balanced wheatstone bridge consists of four resistance placed at four sides of a square in between two terminals such that ratio of adjacent resistance will be equal.

  • In that case , the Galvanometer connecting the intermediate terminals do not show any deflection.

  • This means that current does not flow through the galvanometer. Hence, its called balanced.

Condition for balanced wheatstone bridge:

  \boxed{ \bold{ \large{\dfrac{R1}{R2}  =  \dfrac{R3}{R4} }}}
