equivalent resistance between the points (a) A and B,
and (b) A and C.

ii)A and C = 2 ohm

Explanation:

i) In A and B three 2 ohm resistors are in series and one 2 ohm resistor connected with them in parallel

so 2+2+2=6 ohm and 2 ohm are in parallel

so net resistance = 6×2/8=3/2 ohm

ii)In A and C two 2 ohm resistors are in series and another two 2 ohm resistors are in series and both are in parallel

so 4 ohm and 4 ohm are in parallel

so net resistance = 4×4/4+4=2 ohm
